Exhibition and Workshops at KUBU 2026

Once again KUBU set the stage for Ohanda One in June and August 2026. Since Julian finally got hold on the famous Tritail Sailboat, designed and built in 1961 by Jørn Utzon as a personal venture into naval architecture, featuring an innovative three-pronged stern design, we were discussing new possibilities of collaboration with the Traitail Association regarding arts+science open-knowledge systems, sustainable seafaring, and transdisciplinary Baltic marine research.

The same day we opened the doors for another Ohanda One workshop, where people learned about Ohanda One in individual presentations.

As part of our participatory speculative design process we talked people into an imagined journey on board of the utopian zero-emission ship, and then asked them to write a letter to their beloved ones after one month on board. Some participants were amazingly motivated and filled up to two pages with insightful stories and very illuminating details.

A few weeks before that in June, Tuomo prepared the extra space in KUBU's basement for a small Ohanda One pop-up exhibition.

Besides the posters and a video loop the exhibition also displayed early drawings from Juergen.
